Sai kung East Country Park, Hong Kong

(4.7/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Sai kung East Country Park, occupying vast swaths of the region, has plentiful opportunities for hiking, swimming, and diving within its pristine blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lush green national forest. Only accessible by speedboat or a hike, the area has stayed relatively untouched, which makes it a fairly exclusive destination. If you're feeling adventurous, head 30 minutes west of the beach on foot for a popular activity: diving from the top of a 6 m (19 ft) waterfall into the pool below. Once you get to the main beaches, there are several bars under leafy canopies serving refreshing drinks to cool you down after a long hike. Work out when and for how long to visit Sai kung East Country Park and other Hong Kong attractions using our handy Hong Kong tour planner.

  • If you want the nature next to Hong Kong-you can come here. A good walk and swim. Lots of good tracks (you can see the map). We took the subway to Hang Hau MTR exit B2 bus 101 m in the building to Sai Kung, Sai Kung about McDonald's bus stop 29R he takes to Sai Wan Pavilion. From the Pavilion the easiest route to the village of Sai Wan (about an hour) there are two route-simple and across the top (via La Ma Tei). Next to Sai Wan is waterfall Stream and Luk Sheung course beaches! We walked back to Sai Wan Pavilion (Sai Wan Road) across the top. But you can sail on a boat. 29R scheduled bus on weekends more often.

  • Picturesque. Truly the first place to go if you plan to go hiking at all in HK. The trails around the area are a bit steep if you plan to go, so bring a lot of water / liquids. Plan well as well as transport is quite limited.
  • Beautiful park on the edges of HK city. Great walks and fantastic views. I can't recall how we got there, an MTR to somewhere and then a coupe of busses, but we got to the park and really had a great walk. it was very wet and humid and some sections of the track were VERY slippery because of that, great care didn't stop us from slipping and falling a few times, but no damage done and a great adventure.
  • It's a beautiful and relaxing place...you will enjoy the amazing view of the place...😍😍
  • Very well maintained. Great weekend getaway
  • one of the most beautiful country parks in hong kong
