Sai kung East Country Park, Hong Kong

(110+ reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
Sai kung East Country Park, occupying vast swaths of the region, has plentiful opportunities for hiking, swimming, and diving within its pristine blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lush green national forest. Only accessible by speedboat or a hike, the area has stayed relatively untouched, which makes it a fairly exclusive destination. If you're feeling adventurous, head 30 minutes west of the beach on foot for a popular activity: diving from the top of a 6 m (19 ft) waterfall into the pool below. Once you get to the main beaches, there are several bars under leafy canopies serving refreshing drinks to cool you down after a long hike. Work out when and for how long to visit Sai kung East Country Park and other Hong Kong attractions using our handy Hong Kong tour planner.

  • Oh my goodness. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen on this planet. I did a 15-20 minute hike to the beach and was greatly rewarded. The pictures don't even do it justice.
  • Beautiful hiking spot to get away from the city. You get amazing views of the beach.
  • Good TrailWalk country park. Different routes to choose from. Shady routes or board open pavement on the dam of around the reservoir. Very good outing spot for most with different trailwalk experience level.
  • Beautiful, minimum pollution, quiet and remote but very accessible.
  • Worth a visit for sure. Natural rock pools make for an ideal place for cliff jumping!
