Walk along Sai Kung Waterfront to view the fishing boats, explore the park, and grab a delicious, freshly caught dinner at the seafood restaurants. • Knowing that the Japanese Chin pathetic borimasu's shop. Or you if you go along with the local people. Don't go in a large group of people, and eat lots of goods. Taste's Mama

  • I did not know this area at all, my friends invited me to a dinner to a place where sea food is very popular and I can honestly say that it is one of the best seafood experience in Asia  more »
  • After a day of business in HK City a must! It is relatively fast there and just in another world. The place remained a cosy fishing village in beautiful countryside. The selection of the few Fischrestauranten is unbeatable on fish, molluscs, crustaceans and the courts also... It's not crowded compared to the city. I was told that the town of Sai Kung (Saigon) is, because in the Sechszigern the Vietnamese boat people have settled. My plan: at the next HK visit I'll try to rent an apartment there, enough time for a trip to the Sai Kung Country Park. It should be also extremely beautiful and offer plenty of rest for HK!

Where to stay in Hong Kong

Head to Tsim Sha Tsui for the main tourist section of Hong Kong, where it's easy to find reasonably priced accommodations to suit your particular requirements, with more expensive hotels closer to the water and side streets offering budget hostels. You can also consider Hong Kong Island, which offers easy links to the mainland via its ferry and train lines. Chain hotels sit in the northern section of the island, where luxury and budget options remain available.
