Repulse Bay, Hong Kong

4.1
#1 of 19 in Beaches in Hong Kong
Noted as hosting one of the most beautiful beaches in Hong Kong, Repulse Bay mostly houses upscale residential areas, designer boutiques, and posh restaurants. The beach is popular with locals and tourists who sunbathe and swim in the afternoon. You can rent a sun lounger and umbrella in a good spot and enjoy swimming in the calm, blue waters, too. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Hong Kong holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Repulse Bay and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Wealthy neighborhood is the filming of the movie. There isn't an ocean too, most tourists will not go into the water. And shower facilities.

  • The biggest and nicest beach on Hong Kong island. Easily reached from Central area by bus (possibly en route to Stanley). Plenty of shops and sights apart from the beach. Very safe for swimming.  more »
  • I visited in the Hong Kong S.A.R. sightseeing tours. And the God of Japan unlike is very ornate. Guests can extend life span three days across the bridge, but effect is subtle. It was very nice the surrounding skyscrapers and offshore islands.

  • Peaceful and Quiet Beach I'm so lucky could visited Repulse Bay as most of tour from Indonesia always avoided this place for several reason. Although only given chance to get around for short time, for me enough for satisfied After arrived at the beach, soon I'm realized Repulse Bay avoided by Chinese tourist too and only able to cater Caucasian tourist. Most of tourist I saw were Caucasian. The main reason was the beach very calm. No sign wave came to beach. The sand is clean, there wasn't any any waste scattered near the beach. Atmosphere near surrounding was peaceful and quiet. Suitable for forgetting frenzy of Hongkong for a while. Transportation was limited. Only Taxi and Bus that could be relied. There were small shopping mall behind the beach, equipped with several restaurant/cafe facing the beach. Mostly offered western food to cater Caucasian tourist. For those want anti mainstream destination, Repulse Bay is very suitable.
  • Clean beaches. Upscale condominium development owned by Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels is one of the smartest - the whole place has a relaxed holiday feel to it
  • Peace full place
  • A wonderful place in Hong Kong.
  • Perfect for beach dancing.
