Knutsford Terrace, Hong Kong

3.5
#21 of 38 in Neighborhoods in Hong Kong
Neighborhood Tourist Spot
Step away from the busy and hectic roads of Hong Kong and onto Knutsford Terrace: the pedestrianized street is lined with pubs, bars, and restaurants with tables set outside for relaxed alfresco dining. The sheer variety of cuisines on the street offers something for everyone. You can sample Italian, Russian, Turkish, French, Spanish, Japanese, American, and of course traditional Hong Kong and Chinese dishes. Non-smokers beware that while a smoking ban is in place in the bars and restaurants on this street, the law is not heavily policed and business owners don't enforce it carefully. Where to stay in Hong Kong

Head to Tsim Sha Tsui for the main tourist section of Hong Kong, where it's easy to find reasonably priced accommodations to suit your particular requirements, with more expensive hotels closer to the water and side streets offering budget hostels. You can also consider Hong Kong Island, which offers easy links to the mainland via its ferry and train lines. Chain hotels sit in the northern section of the island, where luxury and budget options remain available.
