  • This minimuzej is located at the station of departure bus to Victoria Peak. Most likely you still have to stand in line at the tram, so you can look at the history of the bus in this museum.

  • 香港電車文化館位於山頂, 要在中環再轉纜車再上。 是香港第一家以電車為主題的展館, 介紹這種充滿香港特色的交通工具。 有講座,有實物展出,有工作坊, 挺多元化的展館。  more »
  • This minimuzej and exhibits is at the departure station of the tram to Victoria Peak. And looking forward to landing in sometimes very large queues, you can view a historic tram, its equipment and photos. Exhibits a little bit.

  • This is a gorgeous and well-executed museum showcasing the origins of Hong Kong, going back to the formation of the land through the reunification. I returned a second day, after just an hour the first day before closing time, because I was enjoying the exhibits and showcasing of the rich end detailed story. I love that details are deep and specific, but also quite concise and focused. This is a must see for anyone interested in the people, history, and/or culture of HKSAR and surrounding community.
  • Great way to introduce yourself to Hong Kong (and for free). "The Hong Kong Story" permanent exhibit is very informative and well done! You learn so much about HK's history from millions of years ago to present day. They did a good job with the design and layout of the 8 galleries/era of history. There is a lot to absorb, so a stop at the cafe midway through is a good way to break it up, and enjoy a cup of tea and/or lunch.
  • Worth going. They are having a "toys from the old days" exhibition going on now. Feels funny when you see the toys you owned before shown in a museum now. Closed on every tuesday. You can definitely spend a day there, close at 1800.
  • You need to reserve half of your day to enjoy everything this museum has to offer. Really nice collection! It sure tells the history of Hong Kong. Amazing
  • Large museum, history from prehistoric till the handover of Hong Kong in 1997. Exhibits all have excellent English translations next to them. Only minor issue I had was navigating in the correct order as it's quite easy to lose chronology.
