Where to stay in Hong Kong

Head to Tsim Sha Tsui for the main tourist section of Hong Kong, where it's easy to find reasonably priced accommodations to suit your particular requirements, with more expensive hotels closer to the water and side streets offering budget hostels. You can also consider Hong Kong Island, which offers easy links to the mainland via its ferry and train lines. Chain hotels sit in the northern section of the island, where luxury and budget options remain available.

  • A great Stadium for a great Rugby 7 Tournament. Well serviced by MTR and buses. A strict traffic control by the police.  more »
  • The South Stand. It's filthy, crowded, rowdy, the toilets are nasty, the seats are uncomfortable, the security is loose, there are cups of God knows what thrown in the air but it is THE one and only R...  more »
  • A wonderful experience. Fantastic world class rugby, brilliant fancy dress crowd and an amazing atmosphere. If you can DO IT.  more »

  • Great for the Sevens! I go back every year for the atmosphere and the fun. South stands are dirty and full of rowdy drunks, but the rest of the place is just fine.
  • HK 7s is worth the flight alone. A fantastic long weekend of rugby with many travellers all up for fun in this great historical rugby venue. Lots of corporate boxes and visitors keep it sensible. The only downside is the poor quality of the food.
  • Really cool stadium! Great locations. Easy accessible. Even during some small league games plenty of catering points opened so you can have a pint and a pie.
  • Fantastic location for the HK 7s. Easy to get to on foot from Causeway Bay, lots of room for food and drink stalls, good split of spectators where those drinking can stay at ground level and those preferring not to can go to the upper levels and nosebleeds.
  • An easy walk from Causeway Bay, clear access. Great viewing positions for the ground. Plenty of toilets and food outlets.
