Discover the history and future of astronomy and space science at Hong Kong Space Museum, a popular cultural institution designed to appeal to visitors who are new to this galaxy, as well as those who have been here for awhile now. The on-site planetarium, set over 8,000 sq m (86,111 sq ft) of exhibition space, offers a detailed introduction to our galaxy and beyond, while the two main museum halls—one dedicated to astronomy, the other to space science—provide extensive arrays of artifacts and information panels. Be sure to check out the replica of the nose and cockpit of the Space Shuttle orbiter, an exhibit that captures the imagination of visitors young and old. The dome shaped screen is awesome! I went there as a kid and returned after 30 odd years and it is still awesome! 3D from the dome screen is unique! Go check it out... for $32 HKD great value.
It's terrible. Granted that admission fee is nill or very low, but it's a very small museum with not much to do inside. There are very few exhibits unfortunately.
Lots to learn here if you love space. And I made my first telescope from scratch here! You can easily spot this dome shape building outside.
Very nice. Good place to learn more about the universe.
A decent way to spend a few hours if you are in the area. However, the displays feel a little dated, and quite a few are aimed primarily at kids, so take g a specific trip to this museum will not always be the best use of your time.
