(2.3/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Discover the history and future of astronomy and space science at Hong Kong Space Museum, a popular cultural institution designed to appeal to visitors who are new to this galaxy, as well as those who have been here for awhile now. The on-site planetarium, set over 8,000 sq m (86,111 sq ft) of exhibition space, offers a detailed introduction to our galaxy and beyond, while the two main museum halls—one dedicated to astronomy, the other to space science—provide extensive arrays of artifacts and information panels. Be sure to check out the replica of the nose and cockpit of the Space Shuttle orbiter, an exhibit that captures the imagination of visitors young and old. • This place is under ongoing refurbishment. There is no exhibit to view except 3 paid movies to view. Please check timing of movies before coming. They are not frequent.

  • We went to see a projection show about skylights in english, there's headphones for other languages, they visually are brilliant and they take about 30 to 40 minutes. Learned a lot and was very entertaining. Try it out if your around.. is very cheap.
  • The dome shaped screen is awesome! I went there as a kid and returned after 30 odd years and it is still awesome! 3D from the dome screen is unique! Go check it out... for $32 HKD great value.
  • A pretty interesting building from the outside! A pity it was closed for renovation when we were around for a visit. It is located near the jetty and some malls though so you can still get some entertainment.
  • The good place teach children about aero technology, where is a huge market in the world about hitech innovation.
  • If you enjoy to learn something related to the sky and nature, this is the place to go. The dome is a bit old but at the time it was built, the 360 degree movie and the sound effect was simply amazing.
