Don't miss the chance to visit Hong Kong Park, a natural oasis right in the center of the city. Covering an area of 8 hectares (20 acres), the park is nestled among modern skyscrapers, in a location once occupied by British colonial barracks. Many examples of the original Victorian architecture are still preserved within the park. Other highlights include Hong Kong's largest aviary and a greenhouse housing a selection of exotic plants. The park includes numerous facilities, including basketball courts, squash center, and playgrounds for children. • I really liked the Hong Kong Park. It is very green, with many reservoirs, which are home to turtles, fish and birds, including swans, various ducks and flamingos. The Park will be of interest to people with completely different inclinations: it has a small zoo with various birds, stylized bastion on the site of the old fortress with these British guns, several outdoor pools for visitors of different ages. There are platforms with sculptures in the style of avant-garde, large dolls-cartoon heroes, green mazes, plenty of benches and arbors. I would especially like to mention the luxurious vegetation, abundance of flowers, cultivated caring hands. On some sites the locals deal with Chinese gymnastics, 2 person practised gymnastics with swords. That's cool! There are several free toilets. And all this in the heart of the city! On all sides of the park surrounded by skyscrapers and this makes it even more interesting, more comfortable and koloritnee. I really enjoyed it! I recommend everyone to visit.

  • While they have tried to create something similar to Central Park in New York, it's not even close! It's a small patch of green with loads of fountains, turtles, fish and streams - can step into the p...  read more »

  • This place is essentially Hong Kong's version of Central Park (New York). The lake is nice and peaceful, and there is a unique fountain which you can actually enter. The bird park connected is fantastic and features exotic species, although it is sad to see them in a cage. There are magnificent buildings of Wan Chai and Central in the background.
  • Designed to look anything but natural, Hong Kong Park is one of the most unusual parks in the world, emphasising artificial creations such as its fountain plaza, conservatory, waterfall, indoor games hall, playground, taichi garden, viewing tower, museum and arts centre. For all its artifice, the eight-hectare park is beautiful in its own weird way and, with a wall of skyscrapers on one side and mountains on the other, makes for some dramatic photographs.
  • Lovely way to spend some time in HK wandering around the terrapins, birds and flowers. Is very tranquil - you can forget you are in the middle of such a busy city.
  • Amazing Park in Central Hong Kong. I walked through this park everyday on my two week stay in Hong Kong. You could spend hours here just looking at all the flowers and wildlife. It is also a great place for exercise the hills are steep. A must see park in Hong Kong
  • Highlight of my trip! Unbelievably placed and maintained park. Very few people. Fragrant air and stunning views of the financial district.
