  • I like this market. it is not as much of a rip off as Ladies market. I don't like to haggle so I do prefer Fa Yuen St Market for this reason. Their prices are competitive as well.  more »
  • Fa Yuen Street (Garden Street) is not like Ladies Market where it is catered more to the tourists with trinkets and items as such. Fa Yuen pedestrian market has many fruit stalls and clothing stalls a...  more »

  • I love this market for its diversity, multiple choice and easy access. You can find many local varieties of fruits and vegetables, big quantity of fashionable clothing from cheap to expensive and you can end in the parallel street call the gold fish street which is heaven for any pets supplies. Good, toys, accessories are in abundance. It takes easely a whole day to visit everything.
  • Whole stretch of street selling clothing & other accessories. Don't miss some shops hidden behind as well! Must try >>> freshly baked chewy chicken biscuit!
  • This is a local market. Also some local food stalls. For the stall selling chickens, the chickens are inside cages and you can choose which one you like. Then, it will be killed on spot. Good place to see local aspect of Hong Kong. Beware of wet floor.
  • even just walking and window shopping in this place make me happy and don't forget there's tea corner that you can enjoy delicious, fragrant tea place that you can chit chat with someone you love
  • So messy yet so much fun, you can get all your local souvenirs here rather cheaply but interesting. Go after noon time becos most shops / stalls don't open until 1100. Heaps of casual restaurants in the area to have a good feed.

Where to stay in Hong Kong

Head to Tsim Sha Tsui for the main tourist section of Hong Kong, where it's easy to find reasonably priced accommodations to suit your particular requirements, with more expensive hotels closer to the water and side streets offering budget hostels. You can also consider Hong Kong Island, which offers easy links to the mainland via its ferry and train lines. Chain hotels sit in the northern section of the island, where luxury and budget options remain available.
