Bruce Lee Statue, Hong Kong

(280+ reviews on the web)
Honoring the deceased martial artist and movie star, Bruce Lee Statue is placed on the Avenue of Stars on the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. Revealed in 2005, the life-sized bronze statue shows Lee in an active pose, like he is preparing to strike. A chink-link blockade surrounds the statue, so visitors cannot get too close, but photography is welcome and recommended with the Hong Kong skyline in the background. • A wonderful homage paid to the undisputed greatest martial artist of all time, demonstrated through his ultra-realistic movies that are still relevant in today's norm. Bruce continues to be a timeless living, compelling presence which is embodied in this statue.
  • I wasn't pleased with the placement of the statue. They should have it closer to the water, with the view as a backdrop. The statue itself is fantastic though, recommend spending some time just with Bruce, pay your respect.
  • Place for inspiration and good mood and photos)) I love HongKong
  • great park with several statues..I am a fan of bruce Lee, so I am biased
  • A short walk from the Star ferry station and about half way down the avenue of stars, is this magnificent monument in homage to Bruce Lee. Despite being busy, locals are very courteous and do step to the side when you want to take photos (and strike the mandatory Lee pose). Just behind the statue, there are the handprints/stars of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Yuen Wu Ping, Maggie Cheung and Samo Hung. Do try comparing your hand size with that of these action stars! The backdrop of the harbour is beautiful to look at and ideal to stop, sit and enjoy the busy atmosphere. The Avenue of Stars shop has a nice replica of the Bruce Lee statue. It's 500$HK, which is 50$HK less than the souvenir shop at the Heritage Museum. The statue is a must visit for any Bruce Lee/Kung Fu fan!
