Aberdeen, Hong Kong

2.6
#12 of 29 in Nature in Hong Kong
Tourists flock to Aberdeen for an example of modernity juxtaposed with tradition, where skyscrapers look over a harbor and fishing community. Head to the south side, where the area's typhoon shelter has become one of the most popular seafood dining destinations in the world. Look for the largest floating restaurant on the planet, shaped like a Chinese palace, and serving modern or traditional Chinese and fusion dishes. • Contrary to many opinions, me I like Aberdeen. What surprises arriving, what are these huge bars of old buildings. One has the impression that everything will fall apart, the city is so wedged between the towering hills. And then, when we get to the port, it's a delight all this swarming boats in every sense, an overactivity permanent. So it's true that poor traditional sampans alongside rich yachts, but it's evolution has chosen Hong Kong and I imagine that the sampans will be increasingly rare. It's interesting to still see original and used. You can even pay you a little ride to tourists. The promenade along the harbour is nice and informative with all the black and white photos that show Aberdeen formerly.

  • It is located south of hong kong Island, access can be reached by bus or MRT. the place is interesting because its waters are blue, and the leafy sidewalknya, making it suitable to be used as the place way way late in the afternoon

  • Aberdeen went on tour to three Hong Kong S.A.R.. At night, the sampan better, stood up instead of a famous floating restaurant Jumbo Kingdom. Regret is correct in the sense that night, but visitors slowly during the day, and also saw the landscape differently.

Where to stay in Hong Kong

Head to Tsim Sha Tsui for the main tourist section of Hong Kong, where it's easy to find reasonably priced accommodations to suit your particular requirements, with more expensive hotels closer to the water and side streets offering budget hostels. You can also consider Hong Kong Island, which offers easy links to the mainland via its ferry and train lines. Chain hotels sit in the northern section of the island, where luxury and budget options remain available.
