The church was built in the early 20th century, when Russians made up a third of the city's population. Now serving as a museum, the majestic building features towering spires and rotund green domes. • Visited in February because tourists for all spewing the white breath, this Cathedral has tourists filled. While not widely so, would I just watched. From the outside looking up from the bottom there is the solemn atmosphere. Harbin in China seems to be European-style buildings.

  • It is only this building was left behind. Circled around the tallest structure is a great presence. Some didn't. Rarely impressed local people and tourists taking pictures was sparsely populated.

  • St. Sofia Cathedral is located 2 block away from the central city. Due to appear vulgar Street and Saint Sophia Cathedral is the square around, or it is not a big building is spectacular. Inside is part of the construction Art Museum (other two's synagogue and construction Arts square), 15 felt acts as a church even if paying the original, you see the inside. Even the walls and you can feel the history as a Cathedral from the chandelier is hanging. I would do better if, come to the opening hours would be worthwhile only in appearance, but was seen inside.

Where to stay in Harbin

South of the Songhua River, you'll find the bulk of accommodations in Harbin. In a cluster close to Zhaolin Park, a number of modern hotels, a few guesthouses, and other budget-friendly options along the less traveled streets cater to a range of travelers. Look for hotels occupying old Russian-built architectural landmarks, with some particularly notable ones located across the Nangang District.
