At Former residence of Xueyan Hu, get a glimpse of the wealth and splendor of the richest merchant of the Qing dynasty. The only merchant who was awarded with a read-topped hat--usually reserved for the court officials--built the residence in 19th century. Go down a secluded alley that leads to the front gate, then notice the shoe-shaped ingot pattern on the floor--a symbol of good fortune. Walk around the labyrinth of open-air corridors, oriental gardens, rocky areas, pavilions, and towers. See the hall, which Hu built to watch opera. Notice the Western-style chandeliers hanging in the main hall, where the merchant used to entertain foreign guests. Turn the House admission costs 200 Yuan (Japan 400 Yen) surrounded by a white fence. What works of art even though nowhere is the art building itself. To look at too much when Hu snow rock's personal home and is just the right size. I wanted to see more slowly is without time, sorry. Would you like is worth watching.show original
