Where to stay in Guangzhou

Guangzhou's commercial industries make it well-equipped to host visitors, though do book well ahead of time if traveling during the peak fall and spring trade fair rushes. The city's gleaming skyscrapers contain a number of the best four- and five-star hotels in Guangzhou, while others lie tucked away in historical European-style buildings. For budget-friendlier options, a number of youth hostels welcome a steady stream of international visitors, though most are located outside of the city center.

  • Just beside Marriot hotel, it is so easy to locate this mall. It has so many restaurants, from fast food, to fine dining. Retail outlets blend local brands and imported brands. Very very well run and ...  more »

  • Honestly, everyone here's complaining about the polar bear, which I agree needs to have its conditions improved or be freed, but seriously, how about the rest of the mall? It's pretty great. I've been there, and there's a lot of variety in departments, the service is usually fast, and the whole place is very convenient to get to. My only complaints would be the zoo, then the fact that it can be really crowded. But the latter's supposed to be expected, I guess. This is China, after all.
  • How you can treat animals so bad. Please, decide to send these animals to a Sanctuary where they can have better life. TRY TO HAVE NO FRESH AIR , SUN LIGHT AND LIVE IN A BOX FOR SOME DAYS and let me know how you feel it! Aren't you tired to be know as the SAD mall in China? you have a beautiful place where people want to come more if you let these animals be happy. Please, do the right thing. Everybody will come to your place with a smile. ;)
  • Release all the torturted animals now to suitable environments!!! How dare you treat these animals as objects!! They have feelings!! You are a despicable shopping centre!! Do not return Pizza to the mall! You must do the only honourable (if you have any honour?) thing and let him stay with his family. The world is watching you. You should be totally ashamed of yourselves for thinking you can get away with this! Absolutely appalling! I will never visit your disgusting mall!
  • I don't understand why Chinese see amusement on animals slowly dying in terrible conditions behind glass prisons, because that's what this place is. A shopping mall that doesn't have anything to see but the decadence of humanity. We were in a short business visit to Guanzhou and went to this infamous shopping mall for lunch. Unfortunately we were taken to this horrible place were you see all these animals like waiting to die. I haven't seen such a depressive scenery before (actually I did...in the Beijing Zoo). Obviously after such a freak show the appetite was gone... And good because the options in this place weren't calling at all. The shops are boring, the staff everywhere seems to be totally fed up (not a single smile.. maybe the heat?). Anyway... it was a horrible experience. Please avoid this place, you leave totally sad and empty after your visit.
  • Can you not see or hear the voice of people telling get you to shut down the exhibit?? For being such a noble people, this really is such a shameful, despicable thing to do. I challenge each of those responsible for keeping these animals at the mall to switch places with them and see how long you last. Do the right thing and close it down. Make money another way, I'm sure you can figure it it.
