Beijing Road Ancient Avenue, Guangzhou

3.5
Witness a mixture of China's past and present at Beijing Road Ancient Avenue. While you go about your shopping at the mall, take a look towards the ground for a peek at the ancient roads that once passed through this site during the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644-1912) dynasties. The Chinese went to great measures to preserve what remained of the routes, protecting it with glass. The bustling shopping mall perfectly contrasts with the historic remains, giving you an immediate tour of the history of China as it was, and as it goes on. Especially this weekend is very busy with young people. His attention is required. On the road around too much atmosphere in food shops, clothing stores, etc.. Glass exhibits during the Qing dynasty stone-paved road in the middle of the road, this is interesting.

If you asked the Chinese lead you where-thread, where you can definitely lead you lovely here. Even if you actually want to market for cheap clothes and some "counterfeiting". Here you will poshopites. Not that cheap and not that too expensive. So-as usual-the standard souvenir-shopping district. A lot of the same stores with nearly identical goods, all lit up in the evenings, but so OK to eat Chinese food, you should look for and pozagljadyvat in nooks and crannies. But there are various other cafes (such as very steep Vietnamese eat-in her fantastic coffee). Still, any Chinese city-territory of food, no matter what. On the other hand, without a visit to this street you can hardly do without. How to get here-no need to even think there's an underground station on line 6 and there everywhere. Ah, Yes. Beijing street is the entrance to the Central Chan Buddhist temple, quite large when the entry pass-but the entry isn't immediately visible (more noticeable during the day). For those interested-a visit is required. In any case, in my opinion, time to visit stands, but if you're not a fan of large numbers of people and junk at every step-better abstain =)

Where to stay in Guangzhou

Guangzhou's commercial industries make it well-equipped to host visitors, though do book well ahead of time if traveling during the peak fall and spring trade fair rushes. The city's gleaming skyscrapers contain a number of the best four- and five-star hotels in Guangzhou, while others lie tucked away in historical European-style buildings. For budget-friendlier options, a number of youth hostels welcome a steady stream of international visitors, though most are located outside of the city center.
