Famen Temple (Famen Si) owes its prominence to both its age (1,700 years) and its position as the home of the finger bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Archaeologists unearthed the bone--considered one of the one important Buddhist relics--in 1987, along with a hidden underground Buddhist palace full of jewelry, gold, and ornate mandalas. A new complex adjacent to the towering pagoda to safeguards the finger bone, which you can view. In the Famen Temple museum, admire artificats of porcelain, silk, colored glaze ware, silverware, and other precious treasures of the Tang Dynasty. 自驾从西安过去得一个多小时，全程高速比较好走。新修建的法门寺很大很大，从正面进去，我们嫌贵没坐那里的电瓶车，结果走了快一个小时才能里面的法塔和旧法门寺。电瓶车也很坑，无论什么时候上车都跟进门的时候一个价，所以要不就开始坐，要不就坚持不坐，可以从旧法门寺那里有个门出去，打个的士就回来正门取车。新法门寺其实没有什么东西看，都是人造新建筑物，就是把舍利子请过去了，另外还有个博物馆。旧法门寺就比较有历史感... read more »
