Listed as a World Heritage Site, E'meishan Jinding Scenic Resort traditionally gets regarded as the place of enlightenment amid the clouds by both Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. Originally built in 1377, the temple suffered a lot of damage throughout history due to fire outbreaks, which destroyed many precious relics in the process, but the latest 2006 renovation truly brings the temple back its former splendor. Explore the serene environment which shelters attractions, including several grand halls. Even if you take the cable car, prepare yourself for climbing a lot of stairs, since the entire compound rests on the main peak of Mount Emei, at an elevation of 3,077 m (10,095 ft).

«Эмэй» — это поэтическое сравнение для красивой женщины, в переводе с китайского языка, означает «Высок... read more »Mount Emei, located in Southwest Sichuan province, got its name for beauty. "Sun" is the poetic comparison for beautiful woman, translated from the Chinese language, means "high Eyebrow. The mountains stretch from North to South for 23 miles. The highest peak Van′fodin (lots of Buddhas)-3099 m above sea level, the second largest peak Czin′din (Jinding, Golden Peak)-3075 m high. To enjoy the amazing views from the Golden Peak, we had to go a long way. From the entrance to the natural park we drove on the special bus, then walked, climbed on a rope-way, walked again. We were there in January 2016 onwards. It was freezing, and roads zameteny snow. This is a fabulously beautiful, but quite dangerous. To drive on slippery mountain road on wheels buses were delivered to the chain, and for lifting of iced asphalt coverage levels and paths we put cats on their boots and relied on bamboo sticks. The sticks were intended also to scare away the Tibetan Macaque, who can be aggressive. The path ends with a white-stone stairway to heaven. On the sides are standing sculptures of white elephants with gold decorations. At the top of golden sparkles 48-meter high stupa of the Buddha's great Samanabhadry. At the foot of the stairs you can buy candles, incense sticks and perform rituals. In the morning, when we started climbing, the sky was covered with thick, gray clouds. When we got to the top, in blue sky shone bright sun, glittered gilded sculptures and dazzling white snow. At the bottom of the clouds over the sea as islands, towering mountain peaks. Remembered that China called the Celestial Empire!show original
