Grand Black Mountain of Dalian, Dalian

(4.3/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web)
Grand Black Mountain of Dalian boasts a verdant and dramatic rocky landscape, ancient structures, and panoramic views of the city below. Towering 663 m (2,175 ft) over the surrounding lands, it also ranks as the highest mountain in the Southern Liaodong Peninsula. Hike to the summit along a gravel trail that winds its way through forests with more than 500 different plant species, or take a road to close to the top, parking for a nominal fee. Once there, you'll be able to take in at least two ancient temple sites: one an imposing structure on a lower peak, the other a smaller Buddhist site carved into the mountainside. Expect to navigate over 1,000 steps along the mountain. Plan your Grand Black Mountain of Dalian visit and explore what else you can see and do in Dalian using our Dalian itinerary planner.

  • If you decide to climb to Black Mountain (1300 meters), get ready for endurance, but you can make it easier to climb and climb on the other side of the car. A couple of hours we devoted Buddhist and Taoist temples, where people bring offerings of incense and tow, even climbed into a cave with their idols. Then climbed to the top, the charming landscape. View from the top is impressive! And what nature! At the foot of the mountain there are Apricot and cherry gardens, which we also visited on the way back, for 30 yuan you allowed to eat cherries as you want.
