Where to stay in Chengdu

The vast majority of visitors to Chengdu look for their accommodations along Tianfu Avenue, the main arterial road that cuts the southern district of the modern city in two. Upmarket and standard hotels can be found along the road and its surrounding side streets, overlooking pleasant plazas and parks, or the river that snakes around to the east. Guesthouses and hostels throughout the south provide a welcome range of budget accommodations, but heading to the more built-up and residential northern area will reveal a greater amount of particularly cost-effective options.

  • It is not a very big museum but it has a good mix of everything. For museum lovers, it will be a good place to spend sometime here, the casual visitors may be disappointed as the display is not very stimulating visually. However, it is a good place to visit if you are planning to visit the Huan Hua Xi Gong Yuan as it is part of it.
  • Visit this museum many times, the cultural relics are really delicate, it indeed deserved to visit.
  • A trip to this museum is well worth your time. I love both ancient and contemporary Asian art, but you will see 3000 year old art drawn in "perspective" that wasn't even attempted in Europe until 700 years ago. I spent about 4.5 hours wandering around this place and should have spent the entire day. I highly recommend visiting this museum.
  • Very impressive Museum
