Mount Kailash, Burang County
Categories: Mountains, Sacred & Religious Sites, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities, Tourist Spots
See the snow-capped Mount Kailash, highest peak in the Gangdise mountain range and the sacred place of Buddhist, Bonit, and Hindu pilgrims. The pointed peak, which reaches 6,600 m (21,654 ft), and features a moon-like surface of Transhimalaya mountains evokes feelings of humbleness while the devotees coming to pilgrimage contribute to strong spiritual ambiance. Bring warm clothes and proper equipment for camping in extreme conditions.
