  • A lot of people only at the beginning, near the entrance. Farther than smaller people. If at the beginning of many descents from the wall to the entrance, then on their becoming smaller. On the wall you can get carried away and go far and long to look for a way out.

  • The walk on this part of the wall is a must for the visitors escaping the crowds. It is a challenging walk but well worth with amazing views of this ancient monument of the human endurance.

  • Good spot. Very touristy but still worth a visit if you take the public bus from Beijing City to avoid a mir expensive private tour.
  • A man who don't climb on the great wall is not a man, signed Mao. Warning do not take tour that you can meet in the street for 100 yuan, it seem very cheap, but on the road they will ask you to paid extra 200 yuan , if you don't pay they let you on at the middle of nowhere. After that even you paythe extra when you arrive at the wall they wont' waiting you and won't bring you back at Beijing... It is bette to take the tour at the hotel, more pricy but you are sure to get back.
  • A rather touristy but very photogenic part of the Great Wall. It is very easy to get there from Beijing, about one hour by bus from Jishuitan Subway station. A perfect half day trip.
  • Going to China without climbing on the great wall is useless, it might be the most commercial spot(and the one that has the largest amount of people on it)yetit is also one of the best view in the world, truly magnificent
  • Myself and my good mate booking this through the hotel we were staying at in Beijing. We were a little skeptical about the "secret" bit - but as it turned out we were the only tourists on the Wall when we did the tour. It was great fun + amazing scenery + we had a cute older Chinese lady who was less than 5 feet tall guiding us. The bonus at the top was an old guy selling cheap beer off a small table. There is no tourist trap here - which was refreshing.
