Tsinghua University, Beijing

4.6
#76 of 1,024 in Things to do in Beijing
Take a tour of Tsinghua University, an educational institution formed in 1911, with a campus that holds many architecturally and historically interesting buildings. Located on the site of what were Qing dynasty royal gardens, the campus retains certain typically Chinese features in its landscape and traditional buildings, including its old main gate. Juxtaposing these stand some with a distinctly Western influence, in particular the classical gymnasium and Greco-Roman style auditorium, both built between 1916 and 1920. Head to the onsite museum to learn about the university's alumni, including President Xi Jinping. With our international travel planner, Beijing attractions like Tsinghua University can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Not far from the round out the Park, go straight to iron out East for ten minutes in the future progress of the Qing. Walking in the Chinese Qing road, Ching Chuang along Green yin. Cool air slowly, example: convenient and Xie.

I was an exchange student here for a year at the School of Economics and Management and it's just a wonderful campus. I love eating in the canteens here and there's 9+ canteens. So many choices from roast duck to scallion pancakes. Everything was really affordable and easy to bike to. Campus is hugeeeeee though.

If you are here to visit, enter through the east gate, where you don't have to wait. Remember to pretend that you are a student.
