  • Where I live Matteo Ricci, Jesuit, first Westerner to be admitted to the forbidden city. Historically and left little or nothing. Accustomed to European Churches this is not nice at all. If you go strictly religious reasons Council mass 10.30 in English: very well prepared, experienced and participated in a language understandable. If you want to "know" or better meet the faith of a young community I recommend the celebration of 8.30 in Chinese. You will not understand anything but you will feel in communion with the people.

  • I am not catholic but I just wanted to visit a church in China. Churches are a dime a dozen in the west but not so at all here in China. There is now some religious tolerance but still not typical. I ...  more »
