3.6/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Built in Romanesque Revival style, St. Joseph's Cathedral (East/Main Street India Church) stands out with its lavish exterior and three domes. Although the present church dates to just the beginning of the 20th century, its foundations go all the way back to 1653. A plaque on the outside wall tells the story of the turbulent history. Admire the modest interior, displaying pictures of St. Joseph and other saints, marble columns, and archways. In the park in front, look for the statue of St. Joseph holding a child. If you arrive at night, sit under the tree and admire the lights illuminating the ornate cathedral. Locals often come to practice traditional dance, giving the site a special vibrant ambiance. • And among pagodas, is not in the Wanfujing Street but it is very interesting to find it after a few days visiting temples in the heart of Beijing.

  • I was on this path to find the old market of Beijing (the one with Scorpions, starfish, etc.) that I found and I don't know if it still exists, my friend told me there ... I saw on a site that said to be the only Christian Church in Beijing. The entrance and the Church inside are very beautiful. Inside there were only two Chinese faithful, but it was a weekday.
