#2 of 148 in Shopping in Beijing
Admire a preserved section of traditional architecture dating back to the Yuan Dynasty at Nanluoguxiang, one of the city's most historic areas. Explore this 0.8 km (0.5 mi) long stretch to browse an array of shops, street vendors, and restaurants, and observe a number of hutong, traditional homes that feature walled courtyards opening out onto the street. Go for a stroll along the section of the street that abuts the expansive canal, or simply bring along your camera to snap a few photos of the stout Drum Tower and colorfully painted building fronts. • Popular traditional Chinese décor. There are many shops on either side. Whole food stores, various souvenirs. If the BTS Skytrain will enter from the back. Come, come, and walk the winding front penetrated to the left to try to be able to go to Lake Houhai.

  • Pedestrian street full of shops, lots of cute, but the high price of everything fits to buy sweets with take a walk, playing "ear tank track" fresh fruit, delicious sugar-coated as much. Chinese people like to eat monkey but coated Strawberry glaze, modern/Peking duck wrapped rolls. 30 yuan each There is a restaurant directly started 50170 row of delicious subway-SOI/souvenir magnet purchased a fastidious or a small pendant price 10-20 Yuan, is no more expensive than another. The Beijing man, not a teen, this road trip is not popular. Think of the expensive. Lets go shopping at Qianmen Street, but we think the price of it.! We love this place more than another.

  • The main strip is more like a mall rather than a traditional Hutong. It’s lined mostly with food chains and tourist shops, with only a handful of more unique boutiques (eg. x-creativity soul art shop)...  more »

  • Very long hutong shopping street. A lot of young people go here espesially in the evening until night. But not as crowded as shichahai.
  • One of the best hutong neighbourhood in Beijing. It's near a local art school. Lots of small restaurants and art stores with good services.
  • I have always loved this place, all time favourite. Hmmmmm.... But now it's become way toooooooo commercial. Used to be a tucked away alley with many unique boutiques and cafes, and owners were often do chatty that you can easily spend an afternoon chatting about life Now it's inside-out tourist destination/street food galore! 😢
  • When you walk down the streets, you will see almost everywhere dotted with plants and ancient houses.
  • Good tourist spot, with many innovative products.
