  • I went to 9/2016, but closed at the end of July (closed means? ), I had become. Photos of signs to show you are Chinese, so know the contents. When will resume, seems to be written?

  • Old Relics. Few Tanks (lot of them Sherman). A J-7 and few other old aircrafts. Not as expected. Would not recommend in present form.
  • It is one of the most visited museums in the world, but I would like to mention that I watched a huge queue of domestic tourists. It is a pity that the building itself (totally!) was closed for reconstruction. Admission is free, that pleases. Almost all the museums in Beijing, even China this is different. However, the external worked pavilions with vehicles. I really enjoyed it, though in the main pavilions I'm not hit.

  • It's directly accessible from exit B or A of the Military Museum metro station on line 1. Free admittance with passport. There is no upkeep of all the outside exhibits, everything is covered in dust. If you have not seen military artifacts up-close, then you can appreciate the size of the guns, canons, airplanes, and tanks. There is signage with simple English names but there's no further English text about the details. Some are positioned to far from the roped boundary to read. The main museum building is not accessible. Only the outside exhibits. It's a quick view of dusty military relics.
  • Great place to see and learn some about the military history of China. Worth the visit. Kids loved it.
  • As of 4 September 2016 museum is closed for renovations
