4.3/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Get a taste of the extravagant life of Chinese emperors and their families at Inner Court, located in the former royal residence. It represents the largest courtyard in the center of the complex, with the various palaces surrounding it each displaying artifacts, such as ceramics, jewelry, and manuscripts. See the palace where the emperor lived, and take a look at the palace occupied by the empress. The two buildings represented Yin and Yang, and the union of Yin and Yang took place in the third palace. Take a walk in the small imperial garden just behind the halls.
