Overlooking the west side of a huge square, Great Hall of the People (Renmin Dahuitang) serves as a meeting place of the government and China's communist party. Mao Zedong dedicated the building to the people, the true rulers of the country according to the communist principle. Built by thousands of volunteers in 1959, the building features an auditorium with 10,000 seats, a banquet hall that can entertain 7,000 guests, and reception halls for each of China's provinces. As you enter the auditorium, look up at the ceiling to spot the trademark red star surrounded with a cluster of lights.   • In the evening had to square exterior views only. Through the gate of the great Hall of the people over the huge building on expansive grounds was overwhelmed by the size and magnitude. There were many people almost seem to Chinese tourists, but most is just near the national flag hoisted at Tiananmen Square, for a photo on the people's great Hall of the people was even open. Just looks like a huge, wasn't particularly impressive design building and cleaning.
