Wulff Castle, Vina del Mar

Categories: Castles, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web
A stone, medieval-style castle built right on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Wulff Castle pairs striking architecture with scenic surroundings. The castle was built in 1906 as a private project for German businessman and philanthropist, Gustavo Adolfo Wulff Mowte. In the years following Wulff’s death, the castle has hosted many institutions, such as a maritime museum, a library museum, a sea culture museum, and municipal offices; today it is a national historical monument. Many visitors are drawn to the site for the backdrop it provides for coastal photos. You’ll get the best views from the lookout point next to the castle. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Vina del Mar holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Wulff Castle and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • We went to Vina del Mar specifically to see the castle. Once we got there, it was definitely worth the stop and we enjoyed walking around it. Well worth stopping by but the museum is kinda blend.
  • It has a very special and beautiful facade, plus its hallways saved stories that happened in it
