Quinta Vergara, Vina del Mar

3.4
#1 of 14 in Shopping in Valparaiso Region
Quinta Vergara features three major city landmarks, including a Gothic-style palace, an open-air amphitheater, and a landscaped park. Jose Francisco Vergara, the founder of Vina del Mar, built the palace as his family's residence in 1910, when an earthquake destroyed their previous home. The concrete amphitheater hosts an international song festival every February. The highlight for most visitors is the park with exotic plants from the Far East and Australia, as well as sculptures and busts dedicated to famous Chileans, such as Neruda and Gabriela Mistral. You can go inside. In the same sector the amphitheatre is also most importantly .in which is performed the Song Festival each ano.mes of febrero.por many decades brings to his shows the best singers and artists of the world. In the month of summer is an important national and international handicrafts fair. Where you can visit and enjoy this unforgettable panorama. I recommend it as a walk forced in Viña del Mar

  • We passed Quinta Vergara returning from a day spent by Isla Negra. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED TO GO. The fifth closed its doors at 19.30 and enter at 1715. The entrance is free. Close to doors d inputs can leave the car in the nearby streets without paying. THE most attractive and surprising is the enormity of the monster inside of the quinta. It can not go to see the great amphitheatre where held and carried out the famous festival of Viña del Mar. The rest of the fifth are gardens with benches and shaded areas to rest and make a snack outdoors. P plaza games there ara children trees lots of vegetation and flowers, but in works view is made slightly unpleasant since there are many structures, plates of wood separating the Grand mansion of the Park and that looks a little dirty in the light of the internal landscape. But for a pasadita of deesxanso and brief ride very well.
