Landmark Tourist Spot
Stop and admire Turri Clock Tower, a clock tower and Valparaiso landmark. Built in 1924, the tower is also known as the Agustin Edwards Tower, named after the famous newspaper publisher, though locals know the tower as "Turri", after a store that used to operate from the building. London's Big Ben inspired the cross shaped building. Wait to hear it chime every 25 minutes and take some photographs of the iconic Valparaiso symbol. A visit to Turri Clock Tower represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Valparaiso trip itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

Where to stay in Valparaiso

Since its inscription on the World Heritage List in 2002, Valparaiso tourism has experienced a meteoric rise. The city now offers a wide range of accommodations, especially budget hostels and mid-range hotels and inns. Cerro Alegre, a hill just to the west of the city center, offers perhaps the largest range of options and looks out over the bustling port. Stay in the friendly neighborhood of Cerro Concepcion to enjoy the best of Valparaiso's cafe culture.
