  • This beach gets its name from the torpedo boats that were housed there in 1887 and who participated in the war of the Pacific. This has always been the site of recreation for the residents of Playa Ancha, they go down to the waterfront for recreation. It is common to see whole families gathered around a makeshift table, enjoying home-cooked food. Torpedo is a popular seaside resort where people enjoy a picnic or eat a hard boiled egg, as well as take advantage of the sea calmly. We must appreciate their history and culture of sharing, always respecting the environment by leaving everything clean.

  • For us in the Northeast, we're used to the warm water beaches, is a big scare when we entered the Pacific water, very cold. The beach is very beautiful.
