  • Upon exiting the lift, I Artlleria give in step 21 de Mayo. From the top of the Hill, the view is beautiful, you can see the entire port of Valparaiso in front. The site is full of little shops, one next to the other, selling various types of travel souvenirs.

  • Although it is not the highest point, is the place nearest to the sea, with an incredible view to the port and the city. Several souvenir stalls. Recommend going up and down the foot, to enjoy the art on the streets.

  • It is one of the most visited places since it is the classic postcard of the city, is actually very pretty and has a great view over the Bay in conjunction with the hills, which actually makes it unique. It is a stop in the city, minibus very advisable and not to be missed!

Where to stay in Valparaiso

Since its inscription on the World Heritage List in 2002, Valparaiso tourism has experienced a meteoric rise. The city now offers a wide range of accommodations, especially budget hostels and mid-range hotels and inns. Cerro Alegre, a hill just to the west of the city center, offers perhaps the largest range of options and looks out over the bustling port. Stay in the friendly neighborhood of Cerro Concepcion to enjoy the best of Valparaiso's cafe culture.
