Create an itinerary including La Sebastiana
A multicolored, tiered house on top of a hill, La Sebastiana provided the setting for the writing of some of the world's beloved poetic masterpieces. Today, Pablo Neruda's former residence pays tribute to the artist's legacy and contains artworks, 1950s furniture, and quirky bric-a-brac collected over the years. Visit early in the morning or towards closing time to avoid the crowds and long lines at the entrance. Plan a trip to Valparaiso easily and quickly by telling Inspirock to suggest an itinerary.

  • This was a complete surprise as I had not heard of La Sebastiana. Loved it. Stairs very narrow...don't know how Pablo Neurada managed to live here...but the view was fantastic.

  • Pablo Neruda. A world treasure. Loved how simple he lived - yet how extravagant the soul. Loved every floor. Loved his sense of humor and how pointed his poetry was.

  • Pacific coast house of Nobel price, P Neruda Lots of stories nd inspiration
  • Went for second time to this magical space. I have the feeling though that they are missing some pieces and some close doors that weren’t some years ago. Amazing views from basically everyone you looked.
  • A very informative well preserved artifacts and hetitag, a must see for all who visit Chile
  • Historical house that shows were Chilean poet Pablo Neruda residence in Valparaiso. House was restored to original state after it was vandalized during Pinochet dictatorship. House has the shape of a ship, the view is incredible, and its interiors shows many of the unique items he collected.
