Landmark
Ride comfortably on Ascensor Reina Victoria, a funicular railway declared a historical monument in 1998. Opened over a hundred years ago, the hillside elevator was named in honor of Queen Vitoria, the long-reigning British monarch who died in 1901. Works of public art decorate the line's stations, while the summit offers fine views of the adjacent hills. • Not that I didn't feel like walking I wanted to experience the funiculars like many locals and of course tourists. They are easy to use and the cost varies. It's worth it just for the photos!  more »
  • Use the elevator Queen Victoria will give you a taste of the daily dynamics of the inhabitants of the hills, also that will leave you immersed in the esplendr of street art in the city.

  • Great to start a cute ride towards the cerro Alegre going up the elevator Queen Victoria. It's a trip short but entertaining because 100 Chilean pesos you raise and get to another world, the cerro Alegre in Valparaiso.

  • It's very cheap and it spends 2 minutes, if you don't want to go up by foot, it's a good choice and a great experience in a 100 yo elevator!
  • It's quick and cheap. It will also save you time and energy. Cost is $100 for one way, very cheap.
  • Best funicular in town
  • Good service. Beautiful surroundings, especially the square in front of the arrival at Uptown station.
