Ascensor Artilleria has been transporting visitors to a lookout for views of the city and the bay for over 100 years. This funicular is one of 16 that run from the city to the top of Artilleria hill. First operational in 1893, this centuries-old funicular is a historic landmark in the city, giving visitors a feel for the area’s history. Take the 80-second ride up to the top to take advantage of the views of ships in the harbor. At the top, stalls selling crafts and souvenirs let you do some shopping with a view.   • The elevator artillery leads to the Hill of the same name, from where you can see an incredible view of the port of Valparaíso. There is a fair of artisan and a museum. The ascent is paid and then the descent. This last did it walk, it is not so complicated and you can have another view.

  • Personally I'd prefer walking up the hill but it is an funny experience. Doesn't feel like the safest thing in the world but an experience nonetheless. Great views on the way through  more »
  • To do to see the city as well as these favelas best is to take it to climb and descend on foot! Beautiful Tags alleys full of charms and colorful!
