Ascensor Artilleria has been transporting visitors to a lookout for views of the city and the bay for over 100 years. This funicular is one of 16 that run from the city to the top of Artilleria hill. First operational in 1893, this centuries-old funicular is a historic landmark in the city, giving visitors a feel for the area’s history. Take the 80-second ride up to the top to take advantage of the views of ships in the harbor. At the top, stalls selling crafts and souvenirs let you do some shopping with a view.   • 600 CLP round trip (0.5 USD). View is okay, and pretty much the same you'll get once you are up there. Is just an elevator... 
  • Cost 300 per person. Takes you to the promenade on May 21 where they sell crafts. And is there a place to eat pizza apparently (just saw the poster). Nice view of the Bay, but nothing more. This museum but Mondays is closed.

  • If you get to Valparaiso you have to ride these cars up the hill, funiculars? They are old and creaky, but really bring you back to old times. Lots of fun, and super cheap. Tourist items at top of hil...  more »
