  • I'm so lucky that it snowed the day 10/15/2016, the tour guide said that in October it is rare to happen. For those who go to Santiago is a place I can't let go, is charming.

  • I went in the off-season, all kind of "abandoned", i.e. empty of tourists-which is nice. I couldn't ski or climb by cable car but walked and saw amazing landscapes.

  • How good Brazil doesn't know what to do when you're playing in the snow for the first time, I loved the place. I went for a company offering vans to go and paid 75 reais. I didn't rent any gear and not missed anything. The place is awesome even if you don't go to skiing, which was my case. The view is captivating and the time flies by. If you are planning a trip to Santiago, set aside a day to know Valle Nevado (depending on the time of year, I even went from September to October). THE CURVES ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T RENT A CAR.
