For those who go from afar, it is advisable to call the captaincy of port of Valdivia (+ 56 63 2361300) to ask if it is open and serving or in some sort of maintenance before visiting it

The interior of the submarine this well maintained, very fast (short) tour but there really isn't much to see. It lets you take photos and is not recommended for claustrofobicos.

Impressive and spectacular, however it was closed for maintenance and no one is able to give information in this regard. The phone numbers of the tourist news no answer and no one seems to be in charge of giving information to tourists.

I went 2 times, and there were no tickets for the rest of the day. They open at 10:30, is just fast. You can not book or buy from one day to another.

Where to stay in Valdivia

Valdivia boasts a range of accommodations befitting a regional capital. The hub of activity has traditionally centered around the Calle-Calle River, with many of the longer-established resorts and hotels located on the water or just a street or two back. That said, the inland areas of town also offer a diverse set of lodgings. Look around Plaza de los Rios for some of the city's trendier boutiques, along with a good number of simple and charming guesthouses.
