The Botanical Garden is a place where we can be with different native species of plants in Chile, where there are various trails and a place of total tranquility.

A beautiful experience, lived some years in Valdivia to remember and others not so much, but not so unfortunate as to say that this place is magnificent, visit is so wonderful as a trip to the botanical gardens, how to go to Isla Teja... to fog and its restaurants, afford the river by its straight and beautiful slopes. God just suffice to say... I lived between 1973 and 2000.

A beautiful, full of peace, special place to go as a couple or as a family. A walk through the place is a perfect afternoon to share good times. Variety of trees identified with their names, nooks and crannies to "explore" with children outdoors to play, benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. You can park on the campus of the University without problems. If you like birds, bring camera. It is a place that you should go.

Where to stay in Valdivia

Valdivia boasts a range of accommodations befitting a regional capital. The hub of activity has traditionally centered around the Calle-Calle River, with many of the longer-established resorts and hotels located on the water or just a street or two back. That said, the inland areas of town also offer a diverse set of lodgings. Look around Plaza de los Rios for some of the city's trendier boutiques, along with a good number of simple and charming guesthouses.
