  • Mancera island is located at the mouth of the Valdivia River, in the province of Valdivia, Chile, on the eastern coast of the Bay of Corral, opposite the town of mist and will reach her sailing. It can be in one of the river walks departing from Valdivia, as the Marquis of Mancera catamaran or other. The island is known for its Viceregal fortifications (mainly Castle San Pedro de Alcantara and the chapel of San Antonio de Padua), forming part of the system of forts of Valdivia. Being in the ruins is to travel back in time. Everything is well signposted and with excellent historical explanations. It is a very successful outdoor museum. Don't forget to get off to jail. It is overwhelming to be there and think... If they go with a guide, don't forget to ask who and why reason arrived at that prison. Being in Mancera is the opportunity to see and touch the story.

  • This island is small, but has a very attractive strong and a small hill with a very lively natural forest, I recommend it completely. You have to cross by boat from the parking lot road to fog and take about 15 min. Visit this island, will not regret.

  • Since sales of fog and have to cross by boat, the trip is already very entertaining. Arriving at the island, we have a traditional fair with delicious food and music of the area. The atmosphere is lively.
