(2.8/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
At Zoologico Nacional de Chile you can see animals from all over the world without leaving the heart of Santiago. The zoo houses exotic creatures from all corners of the globe, such as elephants, zebras, leopards, and even kangaroos. Catch the funicular up the hill to reach the zoo, where you'll have to buy a separate entrance ticket. Impassioned animal lovers might feel that many of the larger creatures are kept in inappropriate, undersized enclosures. • We walked here from our hotel in Barrio Lastarria. There are plenty of bars with cold beer on the way. The zoo is VERY children friendly and you can get up close and personal with many of the animals ...  more »
  • Is a good choice for entertainment family. It must be taken into account to carry clothing and comfortable shoes since the zoo is located in the cerro San Cristóbal, therefore is made of ups and downs. But it is also what gives the different touch compared to other zoos. The zoo and its animals are well maintained and manicured. And how is designed the Zoo, can look to animals from different angles, and some good fence!

  • It is an excellent choice for family tour, varied animal and very entertaining. It inconvenient is that if going with children small that not walk very well or people of age, the amount of landings, stairs, rises and drops exhausted until to the more athlete. Try to climb up the funicular, adding a plus to the promenade.
