Where to stay in Santiago

Santiago features numerous distinct neighborhoods filled with affordable sleeping options. For easiest access to the city's top museums and eateries, consider the hotels located in the pleasant downtown area, where you can also find many furnished apartments ideal for longer stays. For close proximity to the city's best nightlife options, consider Bellavista or Barrios Lastarria, or head to charming Providencia if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated and less raucous.

  • Plaza de la Aviacion with its nice fountains offers a place for relax and enjoyment in the middle of the city.  more »
  • If the day is beautiful, you should absolutely go and walk around. The plaza is the right place to go to admire the water works and the "fountains". It is a nice promenade around the pool.  more »
  • Beautiful water feature with various formations and patterns. Try and visit at night when the fountain performs a stunning display accompanied by coloured lighting. Although quite far away from the ci...  more »

  • I love this part of ole' Santiago! I lived near hear for 3 months and loved running in the parks along the river. This one has a morning dance class on Sundays!
  • Before a 1000 channels on TV this must have been the thing to do in the evening. The water show with changing colored lights, cotton candy and ice cream vendors for the kids, park benches for g'ma and g'pa. I really got the 1960s Chile vibe here.
  • For people who enjoys to relax watching fountains, like me, this place is really nice, there's nothing but the fountains, not services of any kind in there, nor restaurants.. so. That's pretty cool
  • Very nice place, yon can found a lot of people, dogs and riders. The best moment is from 8 to 9 pm because you can see much colors into pileta
  • Beautiful, colorful light and water show in the evening. (When we were there, it ended at 11:30 PM.) Relaxing just to sit and watch the fountain.
