  • Great trip and very easy to do. We hired a car and drove up there, about 90 minutes from Santiago. We hiked the first day for 9km and camped at Lata. We had planned to go further but thunderstorms sto...  more »
  • Now it is beautiful, full of flowers and birds. It is 18 km to the La Paloma glacier. Walking becomes pleasant to the side of the river and with signage that will indicating the kilometers driven and missing for the goal. Highly recommended for lovers of nature.

  • Spectacular mountain Park just minutes from the center of Santiago. These quotas has an area of camping at the entrance which is accessed by car without 4 x 4, are filled in the morning and are not reserved. For who go equipped, is can start a trekking and camping above, in full mountain range, until arriving to a glacier. I went in October and cold and height did not let me get to the glacier, but if camping in the Tin. Recommend for the no so athletes make the road to the glacier in three days, camping on the Tin the first, up and down the glacier the second, and lowering the third, that's my idea to make it more enjoyable and accessible without a great physical demand: height is important and passes the account, but worth it!
