Parque O'Higgins represents a vast public park and favorite gathering place in the capital city. Inaugurated in 1873 by entrepreneur Luis Cousino, the park was later named in honor of Chilean independence leader Bernardo O’Higgins. Explore the 80 hectare (190 acre) park, filled with trees, lush green vegetation, and picnic spots where locals gather for barbecue and drinks. Rent a paddleboat at the lake, visit the largest amusement park in Chile, view the imposing Movistar arena, or spend your time jogging, swimming, roller skating, or taking part in many of the other recreational activities available. • Park of great proportions, with trees and lawns for rest of the regulars. It also has large open space and paved for big events: the Pope was there. It has a gym and a theme park.

  • Is a large park and full of people. I went on a weekend and it was packed, I didn't stay too long because the Park gave me a sense of security. Preferably to the Cerro Santa Lucia and San Cristóban Hill.

  • I've gone to 4 versions of this great festival that takes place in this park and I couldn't be more satisfied of the venue. The ambient outdoors surrounded by green landscapes, manage to give a touch of relaxation while enjoying your favorite artists. It also has the Movistar Arena, which is an arena where you can also enjoy concerts and, in the case of Lollapalooza, the stage for electronic music. This festival is amazing, magical, different from all others. 100% recommended. It is also special to go with friends to enjoy music and the landscape that this Park provides at the time of this event.
