  • This place requires a good equipment for example comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes for trekking. Bring light snack artos as is very hard to walk is a place in which we should be aware not to leave trash in the ground therefore recommend also carrying a garbage bag, the baths are enough rural but fits quite well the place and not c AUSA high impact. The reward of this large rise is to see the great waterfall.

  • The Aguas de Ramón Park is in the foothills of Santiago; is it accessed by paying a modest sum of $2,000 adults and $1,000 children. Offers 4 routes of hiking for the whole family: the paleantologica (3.7 km) route, path Canto del Agua (1 km), route the Peumos (6.5 km) and Apoquindo jumps (17.5 km). The first 3 trails are suitable for the whole family; the degree of difficulty is Basic. If you opt for the trail Los Peumos, at the end of the road you will have a wonderful reward when you reach the Creek and enjoy the crystal clear waters. I recommend arriving early at the main entrance, where you must register with the Park Rangers (up and down). If you choose to route breaks Apoquindo, should become more take to 08.30 hrs, because there are limited vacancies. Beautiful scenery and environment, where it quickly leaves the city behind and plunges into the failure of San Ramon. If you're lucky, you spot condors.

  • Great place for a good hike - Santiago panorama is not that good, compared to Cerro Manquehue, but the nature views are much more picturesque. There are several routes of different difficulty - starting from route 1, which leads to a small mountain river (popular amongst locals for "swimming"/sunbathing), ending with route 3(Salta de Apoquindo), which is popular for it's mid-sized waterfall; it takes around 18km / 6-7 hours roundtrip (including gazing/taking photos / resting). Involves little to no climbing, but the route is rather stenous - be sure to wear hiking boots(you would suffer in sneakers) and have plenty of water & sunscreen with you. There's also an access to Cumbre Cerro de Ramón/ other peaks, which takes several days of hiking to get to. Park admission - 2000 CLP; be sure to enter before 10 AM , if you plan for Salta de Apoquindo - park staff won't let you in go there if you arrive later.
  • Amazing view of a waterfall at the end of the road, totally recomended!
  • Beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail, well-marked trail
  • Beautiful landscape
  • Within reach, yet beyond belief!

Where to stay in Santiago

Santiago features numerous distinct neighborhoods filled with affordable sleeping options. For easiest access to the city's top museums and eateries, consider the hotels located in the pleasant downtown area, where you can also find many furnished apartments ideal for longer stays. For close proximity to the city's best nightlife options, consider Bellavista or Barrios Lastarria, or head to charming Providencia if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated and less raucous.
