  • Highly recommend a visit to appreciate the contemporary art housed in a large mansion surrounded by University buildings. Free for seniors. Unfortunately, this museum is not very well known by locals....  more »
  • For those who know a little of the history of Chile worth going. Very interesting with a little of the history of Salvador Allende and the time of the military coup. Important works of art for expression of that time.

  • The Museum contains works donated (at the initiative of Carlo Levi and Moreno Galván) by contemporary artists in support of the new popular Government. Following the coup, the Foundation was dissolved and curators exiles, but also abroad continued collecting donations and finally with the return of democracy Foundation and Museum are restored. The exhibition includes a small number of the many hundreds of entries received: as typical of contemporary art (at least in my opinion, maybe not quite "cultured") alternate works fine with other incomprehensible. Overall nice and varied, is worth a visit for its symbolic value.
