Huge market--the largest ever--where a little bit of everything. One of the very few places where to find some good quality products at decent prices in Santiago. Particularly interesting as far as fruits, vegetables and legumes. Less recommended instead of meat. Is it possible to find exotic fruits, local chilies and potatoes or corn of a particular type, especially in the "Inca", at the counters of the Peruvians. A dip in a bit of authenticity and color in a city all too globalized regarding shopping. Cons: not much fish (but for that there is another market in town), a little dirty in some places (to be expected, is a market) and surrounding areas a bit degraded (but it gets worse).

Buy the entire Vega by 30 Lucas! Economic Jajaj and selling all kinds of things, mostly dried fruits and masses to do things in the House.

It is a good place to find everything. There are people and products from various countries. The prices are suitable. You know the Chilean culture. And if you have appetite... Do not miss where eat something within the reach of the Pocket.

A great place for typical fresh vegetables, chilean and latin-american food. Recomend not to bring top cameras or big bags. Go just with cell phone and some pesos by daylight!. Enjoy!.

A lot of people. You can buy fruit, vegetables very very cheap and fresh

Local restaurant owners go buying their fruits here. It's very busy and cool to see. It's also not very touristic. Definitely recommended to go in the morning, because there's more going on and the good fresh fruit won't be sold out. The actual market is behind the first building, try to avoid the 'tourist catcher market'

Here you can find all sort of fruits, vegetables, cheese and meat to buy at good prices. Also kitchenware, plastic food containers, non perishable items can be found. During the week is usually cheaper than weekends, and prices can vary highly between merchants. Cash is mandatory. Go with time, be prepared to walk a lot and bring a cart of some sort. They sell there too if you don't have one. There are payed restrooms (nothing too fancy) and parking spots, which are usually full.
