  • Huge and fantastic market where everything. Mountains of fruits and vegetables in direct shipment, butchers, butchers, bakers, druggists... lack nothing! On the outdoor walkways you find everything. Plenty of cheap to eat on-site restaurant. Friendly atmosphere and smiling people. On the periphery, by attention to the larceny, must be be very attentive!

  • Typical market with many people, tight corridors, chargers and smells mixed together. good points: fruits and vegetables of excellent quality and great prices. A great mix of flavors and smells. negative point: sellers quite Moody, rude and you look ugly when asked to prove or when you touch the fruits to make sure they are good. nominate the visit provided you have time and inclination!

  • A bit dirty but great variety of fruits and vegetables. Good place.
  • You are able to find whatever you want in terms of food at very good price
  • A real city classic, a good food market, nice people and lot of things to do
  • All what you need in fruits and veggies at a wonderful price. The place is a little dangerous, but if you are at daylight and do not show something that may tempt a pickpocket or robber you'll be ok
  • Must visit... it's nice and have lot of fresh stuff to eat..my also some nice restaurants

Where to stay in Santiago

Santiago features numerous distinct neighborhoods filled with affordable sleeping options. For easiest access to the city's top museums and eateries, consider the hotels located in the pleasant downtown area, where you can also find many furnished apartments ideal for longer stays. For close proximity to the city's best nightlife options, consider Bellavista or Barrios Lastarria, or head to charming Providencia if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated and less raucous.
