  • It is located in the State street corner of Augustinian and the second oldest church in Chile. It has a façade in neoclassic style with a portico with four columns supporting the entablature and a balustrada. The plant has three parallel naves, separated by thick square columns supporting arches. It still preserves its carved gate of more than 200 years old. The floor is ceramic which combines colors red, black, and white (today beige). At the end of the left aisle is the carved image of the Christ of may, which has the Crown of thorns on the neck and that the story was only sculpture that is not destroyed to a large earthquake in the 17th century, and that it was considered a miracle. In its interior you rest the remains of many wealthy characters of the past. In short, for those who like the old buildings and architecture, well worth visiting it and is in the heart of Santiago. They will know something else last sacral of Chile.
