Where to stay in Santiago

Santiago features numerous distinct neighborhoods filled with affordable sleeping options. For easiest access to the city's top museums and eateries, consider the hotels located in the pleasant downtown area, where you can also find many furnished apartments ideal for longer stays. For close proximity to the city's best nightlife options, consider Bellavista or Barrios Lastarria, or head to charming Providencia if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated and less raucous.

  • Imposing and well preserved building of Santiago located in Plaza de Armas, right in the center of Santiago. Yields great photos of its exterior, especially on the weekends. It's not open for visitation.

  • It was built in 1548 to house the Municipal Administration at the time of the colony-Was the prison of the town for several years-to admire from the outside, because you can't visit him

  • What bothers me most of Santiago, is that there is no quality of life here. This filled with apartment buildings and worse still all glued, that looks awful. And there is too much trade, it is not good commune if what you want is to live quiet. In addition more parks, you are missing because they do not count those who have removed to other communities as the Quinta Normal.

  • I would like the munipalidad to worry of ugliness seen downtown Santiago with merchants that sell on supermarket carts, it would first have to know how they got them, is a bad example and also makes us look like a country in decline.
