  • You can not be stipulated the rise time because it depends on each one. In my case, afternoon 2:30 hs. approximately because I stopped a few times (I hadn't made me the idea that it was so long and steep). The first part (shared with the path to the Manquehuito) is more mild than the second, where the stones make it very difficult the grip of the slippers. Mainly there to be careful on the way down because a slip can drag down you a few meters down. Despite fatigue, and pain of body, it is completely "scalable" and the view is exceptional. Once up, you can see all Santiago. The top is very quiet, is not full of people and very good pictures can be removed

  • Climbing Hills is a great experience that combines sport and tourism. The Manquehue Hill is a good choice for those with some training, because it is not easy. Can be entered by Lo Curro (arrive by car very early or not let go due to lack of parking lots) and by the Trappist, which to my taste is more difficult to be steepest and because all the Sun arrives at dawn. It must be worn at least half a litre of water, hopefully more, and fruit or cereal bars. The effort is worth much because the view is incredible, if the smog permits it. For those who want to upload something easier, it is the Manquehuito to the side.

  • Climbing to the Summit of cerro Manquehue is a wonderful experience and a great challenge. A 1,517 m ASL is a hill ideal for since early a rise, I recommend in the company, with appropriate clothing and trekking shoes, also carry enough water, hat and sunscreen for Sun and something to eat. In the up / down you can watch many flora and fauna and enjoy nature. The view of the city of Santiago since the Summit is spectacular and one is filled with excitement at the top with the sense of achievement after the effort. Then is it Immortalizes with a great photo from the heights with Santiago on his back.

Where to stay in Santiago

Santiago features numerous distinct neighborhoods filled with affordable sleeping options. For easiest access to the city's top museums and eateries, consider the hotels located in the pleasant downtown area, where you can also find many furnished apartments ideal for longer stays. For close proximity to the city's best nightlife options, consider Bellavista or Barrios Lastarria, or head to charming Providencia if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated and less raucous.
