  • Excellent Hill to climb in the morning a weekend, with a rise that takes approximately 1 hour at a good pace, is enough people during weekends which causes that the trails are well marked but also causes a lot of loose stone and dust. It is a great place to go with pets, and very recommendable to climb after a day of rain since Santiago is clear and without smog. It has become dangerous for the multiple accesses to the hill where they have assaulted to several mountaineers.

  • The Manquehue is a small mountain (1. 606m high) on the edge of town and is walking to create between 1 to 2 h well up to the Summit. A way to read leads steeply uphill through dry, stony, partly sandy terrain's. My preferred entry is at the end of the Camino la Golondria, where one is located at 980 m. There's also some parking. On nice days, many hikers are on the road. From the top, you have a fantastic view over the city. Very sturdy footwear and sufficient drinks is recommended!

  • I went to the Manquehuito the weekend, I was well crowded type 12: 30, many people. It was a bit annoying since many wore their dogs and some fights were assembled. It is best to go a day of week. The most salvageable: the mountain landscape.
